Why is KYC verification necessary?

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is a legally required process that ensures all parties involved in payment processing are identifiable. This protects you as a vendor, as well as your customers, from fraud and helps meet international compliance standards.

Note:
The KYC process is currently handled by our payment service provider Stripe. Stripe takes care of the technical processing and verification of your information. This ensures that your data is handled securely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.


The KYC Process: Step by Step

Step 1: Start the Verification

To begin the KYC process, follow these simple steps:

🔔 Click the bell icon

Log into your CopeCart Pro account and navigate to the “Activity” section (indicated by the small bell icon on the left-hand menu). There, you'll find a notification indicating that your account has not yet been verified.

📝 Start verification

Click the “Start verification” link in the notification. A blue banner will appear, guiding you to the next step.

📋 Click the banner

In the displayed banner, you’ll see the “Start verification” button again. Click it to begin entering your data.
You’ll be automatically redirected to the verification page.


Step 2: Enter Company Information

During the verification process, you will be asked to provide information about your company, including:

  • Company details: Company name, registered address

  • Executive/Director(s): Name and date of birth of the managing director(s)

  • Commercial register number: If applicable

  • Payout details: Your bank account details to receive your earnings

💡 Tip: Make sure all details are accurate and up to date to avoid delays.


Step 3: Review Your Data

Before completing the verification, a summary of your entered data will be displayed.
Carefully review everything, as changes after submission can delay the process.


Step 4: Submit Your Data

Once you've confirmed the details, click Submit.
Your data will now be reviewed carefully.


What happens after submission?

  • Data review: Your information will be thoroughly reviewed. You’ll be contacted if any additional details are required.

  • Notification: Once the verification is successful, you’ll receive a confirmation email and your account will be fully activated.

⚠️ Important: If additional documents (e.g., proof of identity) are needed, follow the instructions provided in the email.
